We are Downtown St. John’s formally known as the Downtown Development Commission. We are a not-for-profit membership based orgainzation that represents over 530 members in Downtown St. John's.

We aim to make the downtown a more attractive place to live, shop, work and visit while preserving and enhancing it as the dominant commercial center of St. John’s. We strive to recognize the important balance between office, retail, and commercial, and work to preserve the historic and traditional character of the downtown. Through our efforts, and those of our members as well, whether you choose to live, work, shop or play, you will find it all right here.

Downtown St. John's is responsible for capital works street scape improvements, Christmas lighting throughout the area, decorative pole banners and flowers, organizing amazing events such as the Annual Downtown Christmas Parade, Busker Festival, Reel Down
